During A Rave: 25 Arrested & 17 Hospitalized

Rave's were temporarily banned at the Sports Arena and Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum after the death of a 15-year-old name Sasha Rodriguez but ont November the Coliseum commissioners voted and lift the ban. During the New Year's Eve rave at the Los Angeles Sports Arena at least 17 people were hospitalized and 25 were arrested. One electronic music party drew about 45,000 poeple and lasted until 2 a.m. New safety measures were set this year but this will not stop from having any accidents, some of the safety measures include an 18-and-over age requirement and "amnesty boxes" where revelers could deposit illegal drugs before being searched. Hundreds of police and dozens of fire and emergency personnel were there. The Fire Department took 17 to hospitals and the LAPD reported 25 arrests at the event. Most of them were narcotics related and 15 of those arrested were hospitalized for drug-related medical emergencies.
